Xodys Project - Detail(Employees)
The following is a new business plan that is under development here. The current goal is to have it in place and ready to test by the middle of the year. I plan to start the company growth in earnest by the end of 2008, and then steadily take on more Developers as the growth can support it.
Salaried Employees
There will be two different kinds of employees that receive a salary compensation:- Support Staff
- These positions have no expectations to be involved in the development and ideation of concepts. Note: this does not preclude them from submitting concepts, but they will go through a similar review process as external concept submissions, and will be treated as such.
- Examples of this kind of staff:
- Accounting
- Legal
- Prototype Making - Someone directly following a design without doing any further development work.
- General Support - Errands, cleaning, etc.
- Development Staff
- Those development staff in salaried positions must be able to individually show a break even on the investment from the company.
- It will be their responsibility to ensure that this balance is maintained over the long term
- The system will automatically help to track how each employee is doing, and give managing developers reference on what controls to modify within the system.
- In the event that a
Developer is not able to break even on the company investment, the
Managing Developers can choose to require that Developer to choose
between leaving the company or a reduction in salary until the balance
is found.
- The emphasis is put on producing viable concepts in higher volume, or doing work on already placed concepts.
- When
a Developer works on a concept that has been placed, all concept profit
shares have been set, and so they are instead credited with the hourly
rate based on their salary.
